A pandemic like COVID-19 can tell us a lot about what’s wrong with America’s health care system. This doctor stopped working with health insurance companies over a year ago because he said his patients weren’t getting the best possible care. 

He only charges $35 for most visits — and refuses to take health insurance.

He’s part of a new generation of activist doctors on a mission to change the health care system.
