Kalamazoo bank robbery suspect connected to Washington state child porn case
KALAMAZOO, Mich. — Investigators from Washington state are looking to question a man arrested in connection with a bank robbery in Kalamazoo because of a child pornography case.
Daniel Solis, 28, is expected to be tried in federal court after a robbery at Chase Bank, 141 E. Michigan Ave., Feb. 12, 2020, and detectives from Spokane County Sheriff’s Department would like to talk with him after Audree Pederson, 24, of Chattaroy, Washington, was arrested in connection to a child pornography case.
Pederson was arrested on Feb. 7, 2020, and charged with second-degree rape and three charges of rape of a child.
According to a news story in the Spokesman Review, Pederson said she dated Solis before he moved to Kalamazoo and he blackmailed her into performing and filming sexual acts with her 2-year-old son.
According to Spokane County Sheriff Cpl. Mark Gregory, detectives contacted authorities in Kalamazoo before Solis was arrested on Feb. 13.
Federal court documents state Solis admitted to robbing the bank and spending $2,000 of the $7,000 he stole at Angels Gentleman’s Club in Kalamazoo.
