Highlights from the first Reimagining Policing workshop: Police Accountability and Reforms

As the first of an ongoing workshop series to engage community leaders to address police violence, MBK Alliance Executive Director Michael Smith joined President and CEO of the Leadership Conference and The Education Fund Vanita Gupta, Co-founder and CEO of the Center for Policing Equity and Professor of African American Studies and Psychology at Yale University Dr. Phil Goff, Former Director of the Obama Administration’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Ronald L. Davis, and the Leadership Conference Education Fund Campaign Manager Changa Higgins, in a conversation moderated by Policing Campaign Director at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights Lynda Garcia on the spectrum of policing and public safety options, alternative public safety models, and community-centered review processes.
