This is a video that I had made in regards to how to protect yourself from COVID-19 or Corona Virus, or "Dikos Nitsaaí Nahast'éí Ts'áadah Bee Wójíhígíí" as it is known in Navajo.

These are from recommendations by the CDC referenced 3/29/20. Information is constantly changing in regards to how to combat this virus, so this information may change over time. Below is the transcript for those who are practicing their Navajo language reading skills:

Díí naalkidígíí bee Dikos Nitsaaí Nahast’éíts’áadah Bee Wójíhígíí haaléit’áo bits’ąą ádaa áhólyáa doleełígíí baa hashne’ dooleeł.
In this video, I wanted to talk briefly about ways to protect yourself from COVID-19.

1. T’áá ahą́ą́h níla’ tą́nínánígis.
Wash your hands often.

Níla’ t’áadoo tááńgisí nináá’ dóó nichį́į́h dóó nizéé’ t’áadóó bídílnihí.
If you haven't washed your hands, don't touch your eyes, nose, and mouth.

2. Hasłáagi nanináago ła’da dilkosgo t’áadoo bit’áahjį’ naninahí.
In public, avoid close contact with people who are sick.

Hastáá adées’eez bíighahgo nihita’ nahaz’áago ádeínóhsin danihiłní.
Keeping 6 feet away from each other is recommended.

3. Dikos nidoolna’go t’áá hooghandi sínídáa doo. Shidí’nóol’įįł nínízingo azee’ ál’į́į́góó díínááł.
Stay home if you’re sick, except to get medical care.

Tséghahoodzánídę́ę́’ Nihinaat’áani President Nez ání, “Doo áńt’éhí da ndi t’áadoo háágóo da naninahí. Ádaa áhólyáago t’áá hooghangi sínídá.
Our Navajo Nation President, President Nez, says,” Even if you’re healthy, do not travel about. Stay at home.”

Naa hą́ą́h nisinígíí biniinaa.”
This is for your own good.

4. Dílkosgo éí doodago hats’į́įyaa diníigo nizéé’ dóó nichį́į́h éí bee adit’oodí bik’ínáníłtįh.
When you cough or sneeze, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue.

Áádóó t’áá kǫ́ǫ́ bee adit’oodí ts’iilzéí biih hi’niłí biih hidííłhą́ą́ł dóó níla’ táádíígis.
Immediately, throw away used tissues in the trash & wash your hands.

5. Dikos nidoolna’go nizéé’ dóó nichį́į́h bik’ídííłtįh.
If you are sick, wear a face mask.

6. Ha’íí shį́į́ bídadílchidígíí t’áá ahą́ą́h nanít’ǫ’.
Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces.

T’áá dishnínígíí ná’ádííhígi dóó dádílkał bee ąą’ ánál’įįhígíí dóó yah ánída’aldahígi dóó tó bee hanágisígíí dóó chidí bidádílkał bee ąą’ ánál’įįhígíí da.
What I mean is, where you eat and door knobs and restrooms and water faucets and car door handles.

T’áá éí t’éiyá bee nihił hodeeshnih nisoo.
That’s all I wanted to share with you guys.

Ádaa áhólyá dóó hágoónee’!
Take care & goodbye!
