Two Grants Pass men arrested in killing of 28-year-old Cody Baize

The Jackson County Sheriff's office has arrested two Grants Pass men accused of killing 28-year-old Cody Joseph Baize of Grants Pass (formerly from Kentucky).

Baize's was found deceased along the roadside by a passerby on Jan 10 at about 7:47. he was found on Cobleigh Road about two miles west of Butte Falls Highway northwest of Butte Falls.

According to the Sheriff's department, a three-month-long investigation led to the arrest of 32-year-old Joshua Wayne Bull and 33-year-old Theodore Stacey Johnson both of Grants Pass.
They are both lodged at Jackson County Jail on the following charges:
Murder in the Second Degree
Kidnapping in the First Degree
Robbery in the First Degree
Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Bull had been lodged in the Josephine County Jail for a Post Prison Supervision Sanction relating to a 2011 conviction.
Johnson had been lodged in Jackson County Jail for Parole Violation of a 2018 conviction.

Joshua Bull Criminal History:
In 2010 Bull was convicted of:
-> Menacing
->Reckless endangerment
->Pointing a firearm at another
In 2011 he was convicted of:
-> Burglary 2nd degree
-> Theft 1st degree
-> Delivery of Methamphetamine to a Minor
-> Attempt to Commit a Class B Felony
- > Sodomy in the Third Degree

The conviction was the result of a plea deal in which the judge dismissed charges for
-> Two Counts of Rape in the Third Degree
-> Sexual Abuse in the Third Degree
-> Compelling Prostitution

According to court documents the charges were relating to the rape, drugging and human trafficking of a 14-year-old girl. Bull was sentenced to 80 months (six years) in prison.

He was arrested in Feb in Linn County for:
-> Failure to Report as a Sex Offender
-> Giving False Information to a Police Officer
-> Failure to Appear on a Criminal Citation

Theodore Johnson Criminal History:

2017: 
He was convicted of coercion in relation to a domestic violence incident, the judge dismissed additional charges of assault and harassment.
2018: He was convicted of Robbery in the Second Degree and sentenced to 24 months in prison and 3 years post-prison supervision.
