The Mothers Prayer Song
Nov 22, 2019

The Puyallup Water Warriors are in ceremony as they occupy their usual and accustomed gathering area opposite Puget Sound Energy's Liquefied Natural (fracked) Gas facility.   The tribe and Water Warriors fiercely oppose this plant on their protected treaty territory.

This is the Mothers Prayer song sung by Puyallup Water Warrior Patricia Gonzalez.  It was originally shared by her mother, Dayleann Hawks who has given Patricia permission to share it with the world.

Patrica describes the song as "more than a mothers love for her child.  This is a song for mothers coming together to strengthen their prayers.  Mothers from different generations and mothers of all life forms.  Praying as life-givers for the life we've created. "
